Question about 1998 Land Rover Discovery
Please help, turning the key this morning to start her there is nothing, the dash lights are on and a key symbol is flashing, it wont bump start either. Seems to be a problem with the key?????
If the linstrument or parking lights don't dim slightly as you turn the key in the ignition switch there is a high probability that the problem is with the ignition switch electrical contacts or the related wiriing, not the key. If the problem was the key it would not rotate, just as a padlock or door lock would not rotate. Also check the ignition coil to make certain the wiring is iintact and that the coil is producing a spark to the spark plugs. Be careful not to get shocked by the high voltage output of the coil.
