Question about 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora
My 2002 Olds. Aurora 3.5 has an accelerator that often is really stiff to operate, and requires a lot of foot tapping to get it functioning.
I had the same problem until I adjusted (carefully!) the throttle stop. It is a Torx screw that the throttle rests against at stop/idle. Apparently after a while, enough slop develops in the throttle cable & connectors that the throttle actually goes past "TDC" when the engine is turned off and it takes quite a bit of pressure to get it to move, creating a dangerous situation of sudden acceleration.
The adjustment is not enough to affect engine idle speed.
