Re: Battery located in trunk. is there anything under...
YOu should have a power distribution center under the hood, it will have a plastic cover-if you take the cover off, there is one large cable that connects all the electrical branches there, you can jump the car there.

There are no jump points under the hood for this car. You will need to access the battery, which is in the trunk, under the carpet right next to the spare tire
It can be jumped. Check for remote jump starting posts under the hood. If there are none, then whichever is easier: jump the battery or remove it and charge it up.
Hi Your S class has two batteries. The smaller one is located in the engine bay, and the bigger one in the boot (trunk). No need to access any of them, simply open the door with key, insert key to start engine, you will notice that not all ignition lights will come on, but the engine WILL start, and the batteries will be recharged after a short while.
The trunk latch is operated by a solenoid which it requires power to operate. since the batery is flat then it won't work. I'm not sure where the positive terminal is under the hood but you can connect the positive lead to the alternator wire terminal, and the negative lead can be connected any where on the engine.
Good luck......
On the 2005 Audi A6 3.2 (6 cylinder) the battery is stored in the right rear trunk, under the trunk floor lid. Note: To jump start the car, you simply raise the engine hood, and look in the upper left corner of the engine compartment, just slightly below the plastic cover. There you will see connections that lead to the battery and are specifically designed for jumping (or charging) the battery. You will need to lift up gently on a reddish brown cover which is protecting the positive terminal. The negative terminal (black) is not covered. Under no circumstances should you attempt to jump the battery directly. The battery could explode and you could get sulfuric acid on your face and in your eyes, which would be bad. Very bad.
Well, the first answer is right but doesn't solve the problem and the second answer is wrong as the battery is in the trunk.
Just had the exact same problem. Battery dead on 2005 ion due to head lights left on which causes the key to stick in ignition.
Could not get to the battery in trunk because key stuck and power trunk switch also dead (no battery power, catch 22).
Solution: I hooked up a battery charger to the positive terminal under the hood by the fuse box and the negative to the engine block and charged it for 20 minutes. You could also jump it using the same terminals.
jump start the car or charge the battery from under the bonnet(hood) ,look for a plastic cover on the firewall with a big + on it negative is the engine
what i would do would be to try and jump the car by popping the hood and connecting the jumper cables to the jumping post under the hood. there is a positive , and what you need to do is just ground the negative to something metal(not engine block). this is located close to the front left corner. email me if you dont understand. i will try to explain better.
