Alot of things could be at fault here since the motor blew up the only thing i could say is dealer if your origional owner
or try to get it under the hundred thousand mile waranty
you will probably have to buy new engine if dealer dont replace
the dealer if you are origional owner or certified preowned they have to replace the engine under waranty of mechanical defects
there isnt very much anything can be said to this as the engine in discussion has blown up

We have a 2004 ford explorers limited v8 awd. We were driving on highway and it started smoking. White smoke. It sounded like there was a clicking noise but only when you drove, not when u revved engi

You don't pull a transfer case for no reason

Think you need to spend more time in the actual
service bay, talking to the folks that work on your vehicle
& not the service writers out front ,that don't have any vehicle

Don't see white some related to a transfer issue

You have to pay to diagnose a vehicle & yes- take them
apart to actually find any problem & pay for that as well
as the fix

2004 explorer, blower motor runs on 1 & 4 ONLY. Replaced resistor but still have the same problem, HELP!!!

You will need to replace the blower motor itself. I had the same problem last year. This year I have no heat at all but the fan blows at all speeds :)

The a/c in my 2004 Ford Explorer does not blow as hard as it should. it sounds like the air is coming out hard and fast but you can barely feel anything. Its cold air, just really light air.

You may have something clogged in the fins of the blower motor. Check that first. I'm always pulling plastic grocery bags out of them.

I have a 2004 Ford explorer. No heat but blowing cold air out....also hearing a clicking sound in the dash area.

if you have the automatic temperature control or electronic air temperature control your problem is probably the air temperature blend control motor. you'll have to replace it. checked the linkage from the blend door lever to the control motor first. make sure it is connected properly. if it is, play sure finger on the lever and feel for the vibration associated with the clicking. if you can feel it, replace the control motor.
