Question about 1989 Ford Escort
I have a two door 1989 ford escort, that I did work on two years ago. To date it has just been sitting. Before I set it down, the only problems I had with it was it cutting off while running at a light, and tires. Again, it's been sitting for two years now and would like to restore my car to working order. Meaning, for it to last another five years for me.
If your car has been setting for 2 years, many of the seals and other rubber components are shot. If you have not started it in those 2 years, it's really very questionable if it's worth trying to get running again and needing it to last 5 years. You may want to seriously consider getting a different vehicle that is already running. My brother had a car that sat for 3 years and a mechanic told him it would cost too much to repair it. He told him to junk it and get money for parts. Good Luck!
