Question about 2004 GMC Yukon

I have a 2004 GMC Yukon and the dual climate zone control in the front has issues. The passenger side works to order and the drivers side blows hot air when the ac is on. Is there a temp sensor out perhaps...

For no reason at all the drivers side air conditioning will stop blowng cold air and blow hot air, like it is turned up to 90 (max). The passenger side will continue blowing cooled air. There is no warning when this happens, it just turns hot. The only way to fix it is to turn the engine off and restart, it doesn't need to rest or cool down, I can just shut it off and retart. What would be causing this?

I also have a 2004 Yukon that has climate control and the drivers side will be working fine and then suddenly just start blowing air so hot it makes it hard to breathe!  If I turn the vehicle off and then on again, it is fine.

2004 BA Ford Fairmont dual zone climate control. Both sides set to 20 degrees, in any mode, blows hot air on passenger side

Remove the Positive Battery Terminal, leave the Negative Terminal connected.  Wait 30 minutes.  Attach the Positive Terminal.  Verify temperature settings is around 70 degrees.  This procedure has been known to resolve computer settings.

this problem is caused in almost all cases by a failed actuator that moves the door insiode the heating/ac duct to change the outlet temperature, it is called the Air Temperature Control Blend Door actuator.

Air conditioner blows hot air after 30 seconds on drivers side, on start up. Passenger side works fine. Air blows out correct vents per setting on air conditioning. Replaced blend door actuator on drivers...

I have had this problem. I am not a to correct the issue temporarily, I simply turn off the car and restart. This has worked everytime for me. In extreme cases, I think you can also remove the AC fuse and start the car, which will also reset the computer. I also think that by taking the climate control off the "AUTO" setting has worked in the past.

2004 Yukon. driver side air conditioner not working

you need to change drivers side temp door actuator then disconnect battery for 5 seconds and reconnect after changing the part, turn key on for 60 seconds with touching heater control to allow actuator to program and then it will work.

2004 chevy tahoe, dual climate control, blowing different temps

Its more then likely the temp door broken or temp door motor broken/stuck. There is 2-3 of these motors under the dash on the side of the evap/heater core box. Some require extensive labor to replace, good luck

Changed batteries and climate control not working properly

The actuator has gone bad. They can be programed, and reset, but usaly they are bad, and that will only patch the problem for a while.

Dual climate control

There is a thing called a blend door, it controls air temp, that is where the problem is, most common issue is the motor that operates the door fails.

Only cold air on passenger side

I would assume with multiple people having the same problems, there should be a service bulletin on this issue. may want to call dealer with vin # to verify. sounds like a heater control issue under the dash. something i would leave to the experts for repair
