240s I have owned and sometimes loved. Sometimes the safety switch on the shifter gets hinky, and you have to push and hold the shifter forward while you start the car. I'm not sure if replacement is the cure, but it will at least start (if that's the problem).

Car stopped running. Has spark, engine cranks over fine. I can here the fuel pump cycling. Wuold a bad fuel filter keep my Celica from running?

would have to be pretty bad for a fuel filter to keep a car from running, but it is possible-check fuel pressure at the fuel rail, or pull a plug to see if it is wet (or dry)-maybe the spark is not as strong as you think? Try some starting fluid to see if it'll run (briefly).

2002 chevy malibu 3100 v6 83,000m, still has no start condition after crank position sensor behind balancer and cam sensor were replaced. fuel pressure is 56 even while cranking and does not leak back...

I think your problem is injectors not firing, and is linked to the Powertrain Control Module. Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes to reset the PCM. Reconnect the battery and try to start the car. If it still doesn't start, pull a spark plug and see if the tip of the plug is wet with fuel. If it is dry, then you are not getting fuel to the cylinders. If you have fuel pressure and spark, but noe fuel in the cylinders, it has to be computer related.

I have a 1998 gmc jimmy I have spark i have 61-66 psi of fuel pressure but it will not start

OK, you have spark at the spark plugs, right? You have more than adequate fuel pressure. Do you have fuel in the cylinders? Pull a spark plug to see if they are wet with gas. If you have spark at the plug and fuel in the cylinder, it should start. Is this a recent problem, or has the truck been sitting for a while.?

I have problems starting my mitsubishi challenger in the morning. Fuel pressure seems to escape over night and one has to keep priming

It may not be a fuel pressure problem. You could possibly have one or more injectors leaking fuel when the car is sitting idle for a long period. If this is the case, then your engine is essentially flooded with fuel when you try to start it. Try pulling one or two spark plugs after trying to start your engine and see if they are wet with fuel. If they are wet, then you have a problem with fuel leaking past the injectors. If the plugs are dry, then you have a fuel starvation problem, which could be a fuel pressure poblem. You need to have the computer scanned for trouble codes to help pinpoint the problem area.

2003 chevy malibu wont start

If you have spark, and fuel , and still no start, I'd first pull out the spark plugs and make sure they are not fuel fouled. Dry or replace as necessary. Do you have compression ?
