Okay I have a 2005 nissan sentra with about 84,000 miles on it. When i drive it every once in a while about twice a week its seems as if the transmission is going out or something. it will stop accelerating or accelerate very slowly. Then every once in a while it cuts off when i slow down. I have been put on every machine but no one knows what it is. Then my engine light dont even come on so some says they cant do anything for it. I just got my servicing by the dealership which cost 500 and they said the could find anything and everything looks to be okay.

you most likely need a transmission. torque converter is stuck or sticking. nissans warrantee on trans is 5years or 60k miles on your model. we replace quite a few of them on weekly bases. guy next to me at work is replacing one now. Nissan CVTs are junk.
Take it to the dealership if it's under 60k miles. If it's sucking oil, then it sounds like you might have a bad head gasket, which is covered under the warranty. There's been a lot of hinky issues with the 2009 Sentra and #3 cylinder misfires, but apparently they don't want to do a recall on them. It's almost as if they're betting on the problem developing after the warranty expires.
Sonic, I looked at the Nissan scheduled maintenance for your Sentra.. You should be fine on spark plugs until 100K miles. If you do decide to replace them earlier, be sure to replace with the OEM recommended plug... hope this helps.. Best of Luck!!
SOUND LIKE DIRTY FUEL INJECTORS.FILL GAS TANK UP.POUR A BOTTLE INJECTOR CLEANER IN GAS TANK.DRIVE CAR AROUND.SO THE CLEANER CAN CLEAN OUT INJECTORS.ALSO REPLACE FUEL FILTER.HEY YOU CAN GO TO AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE AUTO THEY WILL SCAN YOUR CAR FOR FREE.
Do you have a CVT? (Continuosly Variable Transmission) I doubt that you do so if you dont, nissans are known to have hard shift into second gear you mean.(Once the car moves, its already in first gear) so if it shifts fine into other gears, I wouldnt worry too much unless it gets worse.
if this is an automatic there will be a dip stick if it is a manual you do not use transmission fluid to find out what sencor is bad take car to advance auto parts they have a digatal reader and can tell wou what sencer went bad and where it is located
it could be that your fuel pump could be weak. or that it's in the electrical circuit of your fuel system. what that means is that the sensors that help read the performance of your fuel system could be malfunctioning. this would involve the O2(oxygen) the TPS(throttle position sensor. or it could be the fuel pressure regulater. you could probably go to a small garage and have scan done cheaper than if you take it to a dealership.hope this helps please rate this ......thanks and good luck
