When the starter was tested I assume the solenoid was tested also. There is a fusible link going from the ignition to the solenoid. It’s the wire with a larger plastic block on it.

Sounds like starter motor given your slow to no turnover, I assume your new battery has full charge, if not, check with meter, it may be a defective battery, or another issue with connections, did you clean cable connections when you put in new battery? I assume your engine was running properly before battery change and is not partially seized due to overheating or low oil.

Good luck,

Wont start

the clicking noise is usually 2 things, step on try jump starting car and if starts have battery tested as it is probably bad (free testing at most chain auto stores), the other usual problem is that the starter has gone bad, when whoever tried turning off car while driving might have put into start mode and burnt out the starter when it engaged at high speed.

First thing put socket on crankshaft bolt ,it in center of bottom pulley which crank pulley. And turn motor, to see motor is locked up. Next be your battery cables and posts on battery good clean and tight.

Battery has plenty of charge, car wont start, wont even turn the starter over.. is there a relay that needs to be replaced

First make sure the battery terminals are clean.
Then check the solenoid with a test light to make sure it is getting power when you try to start.
If not, it could be the neutral safety switch on the transmission.
If yes, then the last thing to check before putting in a new starter, is if the engine ground strap is tight.
Remember engines are mounted in insulating rubber.

Van wont start or turn over. (battery has lots of power)

Possibly a dirty or loose battery terminal. If they are okay and starter won't click, give the small wire on the starter motor solenoid a wiggle. It could be a bad conection.

If the engine is turning over and it still wont start try shooting a little starting fluid in the air cleaner to see if it will run .. if so your fuel pump is either bad or the fuel filter is getting dirty.. thanks and holler if you need more Jerry

Starter tested good but still wont start

test you battery at parts store they can load test it for you headlites int lights are nominal draw. wipers blowers pull a little more current. but have it tested under load which duplicate the significant draw of a starter.
