It is located behind the large crankshaft/harmonic dampner or pully on the belt drive end of the engine. You have to find it, maybe clean the area of dirt and grease, then see if you have access to the mounting screw. If not you have to remove the pully.

On the 3.4 it is under the power steering pump. On the 3.8 it is on the front of the motor near the water pump.

I have a 0340 code for my cam shaft

Well code 340 means the cam sensor is not working correctly. The engine computer is not getting the signal it expects.
The sensor and the wiring would need to be tested.

I have a 2003 dodge neon se 2.0 it would start on cold days had a diagnostic run and was told it was my cam shaft sensor and crank shaft sensor got those in and it ran fine that night but would not st

First I guess you meant "it would NOT start on cold days. I would not have gone to something as exotic as those fixes first. My suggestion is either a battery issue (which is quite often the case in cold weather or you have a bad main connection (either positive or ground). You can check that by a battery tester (I use my portable charger/jump start unit). That will tell you how much the voltage and current drops when you switch the ignition. How old is the battery? How many cold days a year do you have?

The next thing I would look at is the starter motor. After a decade the contacts could be oily/dirty or even oxidize creating too much impedance.

With either cause as simple drive could help things for a short period. Do you drive it everyday?

LOL, my Uncle used to use a mallet to shake things up a bit.

Good luck!

Where is my camshaft position sensor located on a 2008 chevy aveo

It should be located between the cam shafts. If you remove the Beauty Cover (( that's what they call the cover across the top of the motor. )) And then the Valve Cover. The Cam Sensor will be sitting between the Cam Shafts. Closer to the Intake Cam Shaft.
