Question about 2001 Dodge Durango
Can I get a copy made at a hardware store and it will work or do I have to go to the dealer?
Depends the keys you have/had for the vehicle. If your looking to get just a key for the doors then yes you can get a basic copy of the key for just the doors. If your looking for an ignition key then you will have to go to the dealer if you have a chip key! It depends on the color of the key. Black isn't a chip and tanish is a chip key. The dealer will have to program a chip key and shouldn't take more then a half hour of labor. You will need proof of ownership before the parts dept. will cut a key. Hope this helps.
