My daughte in her wisdom decided to wash my 1993 Jetta 3 engine and the water has caused havock and I cannot start the car.

I removed a plug and started the car with the HT lead connected and there was no fire at the electrode.

I had a spare distributor and swopped it. Still nothing.

    Please assist.

I need the firing sequence on the 1994 GMC Sonoma from spark plugs to the distributor cap. My brother got the wires mixed up...he doesn't know where the wires go.

Here is the firing order diagrams for the 4.3 liter V-6 engine and the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine, and let me know if you need any help to understand these diagrams, or if you require any further assistance.

For the 1997 VW Jetta:
I do not know if you have the 2.0L SOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder or the 2.8L DOHC V-6; however I have included both below. The 2.0L has a Distributor Cap and the 2.8L has an Ignition Coil.

For the 2.0L SOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder:
Firing Order:
1-3-4-2
Cylinders

...1...2...3...4...
.......(front)
Distributor:

2..........3
......4....(+)-screw

For the 2.8L DOHC V-6:
Firing Order:
1-5-3-6-2-4
Cylinders:
.......(back).......
.1....3....5....
....2....4....6.
Ignition Coil Connections
(back)
.2..5.
.4..3.
.6..1.
