I have a 1992 s500 benz rides like it has a bigger eng in it it only has 6 cylinders can i put a bigger motor in it

on a proper TDC timed dead Compression your harmonic damper has a mark that tells you such Zero status is alighned with a mark on the motor or plastic cover it puts you to perfect timeing

Suspect idle control motor, although mass air flow sensor problems have sometimes been related to idle surge. Have pcm codes pulled for further diagnosis.

check coils

Drivers side front cylinder. You should really have a qualified person to work on this car.

most older mercedes benz firing orders are written on valve cover. I beleive it will tell you on one of the rear intake manifold runners. the way a benz engine cylinders are marked they read-1 2 3 4 on the l(passanger side) and 5 6 7 8 on the r(drivers side) unstead of 1 3 5 7 and 2 4 6 8. maybe this will help you good luck getting the plug sires back into the plastic troughs.
