Open the hood and on the strut tower you should see a black plate with silver or white lettering and some words written in German. Underneath the German words is a three digit code which is the paint code. Good luck!

I replaced my instrument cluster with a used cluster (BMW X5, 03') the brake lights are all on now. How do I match the new cluster with my X5?

The lights are all on because of a loss of power. If you test drive the car, once you reach 15 mph, the lights should reset. Matching the cluster will set the odometer to the CPU odometer (actual miles).

How to install indash after market radio in 2000bmw323i

choose the unit you want,be very careful removing the Clips and other small screws that hold the molding in place,,some break easily...You will need a wiring harness Kit made for you model BMW the connectors are color coded to match up with the factory ones...slow process there are also adapters for that model car that will ensure the height and widths are the same,,,to ensure a seamless,,gapless fit.

Hi, my soft top roof is coming away around the window. what is the best product to fix this? thanks

i would recommend using some type of gasket that matches the color of your top you can find them in a number of auto parts stores or local junkyards. Its your only alternative is replacing the top or getting a hard top for the rainy months

Hi I"m going to update

Your car must have the on-board computer with the more elaborate bulb-out sensor system because the wire colors you describe do not quite match the wiring diagram in the Bentley manual. Bentley does not show a "with check control module" front corner light which either means that they overlooked it, or it should be identical to the "without check control module" version.
According to the wiring diagram I have, the corner light should have a: A brown wire (ground), either Left Turn - A blue/green [blue with green stripe] wire Right Turn - A blue/brown wire and Left Park - A gray/violet wire Right Park - A gray/yellow wire
The only red wire I see in the diagram powers the relay for the fog lights.
Bentley is the best commercial manual there is, and should match the factory manuals, so I fear that you will need to use a voltmeter or test light, or trial-and-error your connection. If you have a voltmeter or test light, you can stick a needle through the insulation on the wire to test it to see if it is hot.
Based on my wiring diagram, I'm guessing that you don't want the blue wire, but that is just a guess.

Match color coded wires

Ask the person who sold you the sensor. They should have the info. Ebay sellers frequently post connection info on their web sites.
