It looks as though you have to loosen the two engine rocker mounts located right on top the engine, take a rachet strap and tilt the engine forward while taking off the left part of the engine.

1998 chevy venture wont start makes poppin noise?

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

I have a 1998 chevy venture mini van...... Seams to be miss firing on two cylinders we replaced the crankshaft sensor... The computer is showing po300 and po 336... Any ideas thank you

This is usually caused by carbon traces in the spark plug connector. You must pull the boot off of the spark plug and look down the boot for the carbon trace.
Do not pull the boot off of the plug by the wire as this will seperate the wire from the boot.
It is very apparent on the spark plug porcilin.

How do you change spark plugs in a 2000 chevy venture

i have done this job in two ways, ofc the front set is easy the rears are i'm sure what your question is about. one way is from underneeth with the van on a lift, the motor sould be cold and you need long skinny arms for this. the second way is to remove the two dog bones that connect to the front of the engine, and shift it forward. use a chain or rope to hold in position, you will need to unhook the plug wires and remove the ignition coils from on top of the rear head, with this done you can reach the plugs from the top. good luck

How do I remove and change the back sparkplugs in a 2003 chevy venture, It tells me that cilinder 1 is misfiring and it won't pass the emission inspection

You can remove the engine struts(dog bones) mounted over the top of the radiator. Use a ratchet strap, attach one end to the engine hook on the driver's side dog bone mount and the other to the radiator support. Pull the engine forward, you can then access the rear spark plugs. You have to make sure your spark plug wires and ignition coils are not corroded also.

How to change back sparks plugs on a 1998 chevy venture

what a pain. basiclly you must remove them from under the car and from the back. it is a pain so you must relax and breath it will test you. Long needle nose pliers will help remove the wire and I would have a new set of wires on hand because they come apart and you only want to be in there once.

1998 Chevrolet Venture Liftgate

it isn't that the cable is off I believe it will be that the mechanism is siezed. you will need to gain entry from the inside through an access hole in rear hatch door. once you get the door open you will need to remove the latch and oil it with penetrating oil and work the latch until it works freely
