Question about 1989 Toyota Pickup SR5
Taiman, It sounds like you have a vacum leak. Does the engine idle a little rough and smooth out when you accelerate? Try this little test, get a empty spray bottle, fill it with warm water, the add one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, put the sprayer in and shake it up, then run the engine for a bit and shut it off and start spraying the solution in the area of your noise and when you hit it with the spray the noise will stop or change for a second. That will show you where the leak is and all you will have to do is repair it. Good Luck. quicbric (the volvo man)
