    Hi my name is Dave.
    I read the post about removing the front brake rotors on a 2005 Chev Colorado LS. However my truck is 2wd and there is no center bolt holding
    the rotor on the wheel assembly. So how do I get the front rotors off so I can
    have them turned and cross-hexed???? Thanks for taking the time to answer
    my question. ;}

Welcome to fixya

Take the wheel off then remove the caliber (brakes ) and then have to remove the nut and pin from the center of the wheel on then it should slide off easy

when takeing off the brakes wen you remove the caliber make sure u us something to hold the calibers piston in like a C clamp or something of that size

hope this helps you out have a good day

the rotors should not squeak unless the pads are worn to the indicators. Squeaks and vibrations are 2 different things. Rotors themselves cannot squeak. If they vibrate then they can be resurfaced if within the allowed limits, if they are worn under the limit than they must be replaced.

I have a 2004 Chevy Colorado and can not get the hub off to change out my front rotors.

Very, very few cars or trucks require the hub to be removed. In almost all American vehicles, the rotors are just resting on the hub and will come off fairly easily. Make sure you've removed the caliper, then smack the rotors a bit with a rubber mallet. They should come off. If there's a ton of rust, you might need to use some penetrating oil, then smack them a little.

I am having problems getting the rotors changed i cant get everything apart in the front to get the rotor off is there a special way to get the spindle off?

You have got a wheel speed sensor you have to unplug. Follow the wire up the fame toward the fire wall. It will be held on with clips in about four different spots. Pull the rubber flap up above the shock and unplug the sensor. There are four or five bolts on the back side of the rotors that have to come off. You have to do this on both sides. Note: rotors have to be turned on the truck but I found out that it was cheaper just to buy new ones for around $39-$40 each.
