Did you resolve this?
I drive a mk3 golf GTI 8V and mine starts fine but after driving for about 3 minutes (engine warms up) it starts to misfire, the car stalls and then you can't start it again until the engine has cooled. Does this sound similar?
these can be many things, lets start by having your oil level where it should be, if it is ok then buy a cheap mechanical oil pressure indicator, take off the original oil pressure sending unit, and connect the mechanical unit start the engine and check oil pressure it should be at idle between 20 and 30 psi and once you increase rpm it should go above 50 if its not inside these values your oil pump most be defective, your rod our main bearings are worn our you have a clogged oil pick up inside the engine, hope it helps and hope is only a faulty oil pressure unit
Can you operate it from the outside locking mechanism
If you can hear the motor (regulator) but window does not operate, then we established that power is being supplied and fuse/relay are ok. Your problem is a bad window regulator or a guide cable is fraying and caused it to knot up on the guides.
If you hear nothing at all then you first need to figure whether it's a fuse, a relay or the wiring is bad.
Hi. well that light means that you have a low oil pressure probably because you have been using the regular conventional oil instead using syntetic oil thats what causes clogs inside the engine because this type of car uses syntetic oil so if i was wanting to fix that myself ill start by using an engine flush before every oil change (remember to use syntetic oil) and that might help but ill be wise to take it to a garage just to make sure it has oil pressure.
