Transmission reverse sometimes works then nothing,some times wont shift out of first,then other times ok,put new filter and fluid,what makes it shift,it doesn't have a madualeater??

You seem to have a body valve problem valve sticking inside after years of driving the valve accumulate varnish try a body valve cleaner its cheap and it work its not a rebuilt tramission but and im not gonna tell you to open the trasmission and clean ourself put that in try it out its take a few days of driving hope it FIXYA OUR POST PIERRE

There might be a block in the gear transmission box.
Better dissemble the gear box and wipe out the blockage if any

2007 convertible trouble going into reverse sometimes
Usually in most cases when a transmission wont go in reverse, is not good. I would try to have the transmission fluid and filter replaced. That might fix it and save you a few hundred dollars. If it does not help, then you are going to ned to take your car and have the transmission fixed.

Try to add LUCAS OIL transmission anti-slipp additive. It helps smooth the shifting. If this helps you need to replace transmission fluid with the filter and add fresh fluid with Lucas oil additive ..

Transmission wont go into reverse
It could be a broken band in your transmission or you may need a transmission flush. If you get the latter, make sure they replace the transmission filter and put a new seal on the transmission pan ! Sometimes the filter becomes clogged and fluid cannot run through the system properly . xoxo

HIGH PITCH WHINNING NOISE IS FAULTY TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP.HAVE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE CHECK AT A TRANSMISSION SHOP.IF TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP TOO WEAK OR MALFUNCTION.YOUR TRANSMISSION WONT HAVE ENOUGH OIL PRESSURE FOR FORWARD GEAR , REVERSE GEAR, BAND OR SHIFT VALVES IN VALVE BODY.NOTHING WILL WORK TRANSMISSION.OIL PUMP LIKE HYDRALIC PUMP KEEPS EVERY THING WORKING..

Wont shift all the time sometimes it just wont change into gears then all of a sudden it does., transmission shhop advised to change filter and fluid what is the process
remove the pan on bottom of transmission drain fluid...remove filter,, easy to locate by looking at the new one you bought....reinstall pan and fill with transmission fluid.....you can try this step...if still accurs.. need to have someone scan the transmission module.. alot of scanners only scan engine computer.. make sure to scan transmission module.. if no codes be very weiry about transmission failure that line of cars has a very bad reputation for bad tranny
