Question about 1999 Jeep Cherokee
The alarm remote needed new batteries and once installed it never worked again...at the same time..the windows wouldn't go down and sometimes the alarm activates and sometimes it doesn't. The windows, samething...sometimes they go down and sometimes they don't. I don't understand this...also now the interior lights don't go on while opening or existing the vehicle????
The Grand cherokee's are known for the wiring in the drivers door jam breaking! The only good fix is replacing the wiring but the only way to do that is to replace the whole body wiring harness. Or you can do like I do at the dealer is to pull the wiring back into the cab thru the drivers kick panel and replace/fix the broken wires.

Try replacing the window switch first, it's the cheapest repair.... If not you may need a window motor.
