Get a 3 foot pipe and attach with a couple of hose clamps, a wrench that fits the take up pulley nut. Use a rope at one end on the pipe. The from the bottom pulley wrap around and keep it taunt until you get to the take up pulley. The pull the rope so the pulley will move while inserting the belt on to it. If you slip at any pulley have to start over at the bottom again. Once you get the hang of it, it is very quick. The rope and pipe give you leverage and a 3rd hand. It works for me.

Cant put serpintine belt on

You don't take anything off

You just put a long 1/2" ratchet in the hole on
the tensioner & Pull against the spring tension until
you have the belt over the final pulley

I cut off the drive belt to my 1997 mazda Protege to put on a alternator belt Now what do I have to loosen to put the drive belt back on.

I'm not familiar with this particular car...but most cars these days use a spring loaded idler to apply tension to the accessory drive belt. Simply rotate the idler against the spring pressure, install the belt, and release.

I have to put new belt on once a month why

Hello. If the belts are shredding the problem is that one or more of the pulleys that the belt contacts is either frozen or off center. Regards, Joe

How do i put on the serpintine belts

You will have to locate the belt tensioner ( if this has a serpentine belt setup) just put a wrench on the bolt where the pulley is and turn until you release the slack on the belt (this is spring loaded) remove the belt (be sure to note how the old belt was on before removing it) position the new belt in place, turn the tensioner once again and position the new belt, the release the tensioner. Hope this helps

My problem is that i cant find a way to put the engine belt on my car. The engine bracket is in the way so i just need help putting the belt on. Am i supposed to take the bracket off and then put the belt...

There are 2 types of engines that you need to remove two bolts from the the engine bracket. to be able to install the belt. remove the bolts . not to be confused with the nuts . In order to replace the belt. there are only 2 bolts. Then you pry the tensioner to loosen the belt. remove it and press the tensioner to install the new belt. it will create tension automatically. hen replace the bracket.
