Easy and quickest way to change the drive belts on my 1994 paseo

If it knocks on the over run, your timing is out.
Recheck the position of the timing belt before it goes bang!

It's possible that the timing belt jumped on the gears, if the belt has not been replaced at least 80,000 miles ago this may be the problem. Have the timing belt checked.

Bad engine, transmission mounts.

High HC means moisture in the system. Try driving it longer then take it to the smog shop. Otherwise it could be hard like a head gasket or easy such as a PCV not functioning. Any ways you should always drive it about 20 miles before smog check, longer when the weather is cold.

You should replace the fuel filter and check for vaccum leaks. Also you should check the compression of your vehicle this might solve your problem.

All Toyota vehicles take standard brake fluid for the clutch hydraulics.

the valve timming is off . or the valves are stuck open because of engine damage . this is a crash motor . if the timming belt broke while driving the motor is junk or at best needs major work to repair . you can get a belt diagrm on line or at a locl parts stor . or your libary . good luck on this one

timing is no easy task it has to be perfect ! off one way or the other could result in damaging the valve's so if your going to do this yourself takeyour time check and recheck your marks. most auto zones & advance auto's can print you a diagram.if not then they will sell a hanes repair manual.this would be your best way to go they are about $15 also always remember not to over tighten the timing belt. hope this helps thanks for choosing FixYa.

GOOD EVENING, TWO THINGS WHY; AND EASY TO LOOK AND FIX. LOOK AT THE BATTERY COLD CRANKING AMPS. MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT ONE FOR TOYOTA PASEO. IS SHOULD BE 550CCA. IF THE BATTERY IS GOOD. HAVE THE ALTERNATOR CHECK. EITHER THE ALTERNATOR IS OVERCHARGING OR NOT CHARGING AT ALL.

you may need to check the pulleys, see if they have any sharp bits...
