if the otjer dash lights work then it is a bulb gone out. if none of the dash lights work you have a bad fuse or possibly a bad dimmer wheel. to replace the bulb you will need to remove the plastic shroud from around the shifter.
lot of work. There is a bolt in the glove box that you will have to remove. first open your glove box and squeeze the two sides to drop the box out. then on the left towards the radio there is a gold bold. I believe 10mm socket would fit. unbolt that and that should free up the front to allow you to get the rest out. That little light is a pain to get to. alot of bolts and screws for one light.
Transmission shift indicator light on center console. First make sure the fuse is good. If the fuse is good then remove the screws holding the center console cover. You will need a long and short phillip screwdriver. Look for screws in the cup holder, under the handbrake handle and where the console runs under the dash. You may have to move seats forward/backward to reach the screws. When you attempt to raise the console cover you will notice you overlook a screws. Remove them also. You may be able to reach the bulb without removing the gear shift handle. DO NOT TOUCH any other electronics you see. The AIRBAG ACTUATOR is located here also. Replace bulb. Test before reassembly. Good Saturday morning project.
