Question about 1999 Mazda 626

No power no electrical power to my 1999 mazda 626 v6. I have replaced the battery, but power seats, radio, lights or any accessories will work. What could be my problem

    Hi,
    I am having a starting problem. My car wont start..... The electrical system works and I have put a new battery in the car, but it only clicks and wont start. Radio and air and lights work but it wont start. can any one help me

I would check the connection to the starter. Then i would make sure the battery terminals themselves are clean..... Your gettin power just not enough. Sounds like corrosion

Check the fuse box and see if there is a problem there

Mazda 626 1999 with electrical problems. Replaced alternator, battery checked out, electrical quits while driving.


When you say everything goes dead are we talking all lights, radio, wipers? If so, main power or ground cables bad or fusible link. If just engine, check coil, ignition module, crank/cam position sensor.

Mazda 2200 if the dash lights dont light at all when u turn the key to acc. does that mean a bad switch if all otther lights work and the battery is fine


Not sure I follow you.
Do the warning lights come on when the key switch is in the on position ? ?
And are you saying the engine will not crank ?
On most cars the only thing that is powered in accessory is the radio.

How do you replace an alternator from 2002 Mazda 626 V6 engine?


FIRST TURN OFF RADIO.REMOVE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.REMOVE FRESH AIR DUCT.REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER BRACKET.REMOVE CONDENSOR FAN IF EQUIPPED.REMOVE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS FROM THE ALTERNATOR.LOOSEN THE BELT TENSIONER LOCK NUT AND TENSION ADJUSTING BOLT.REMOVE ALTERNATOR UPPER MOUNTING BOLT.REMOVE RIGHT SPLASH SHIELD. REMOVE DRIVE BELT FROM THE ALTERNATOR PULLEY.REMOVE AC COMPRESSOR AND SUPPORT IT ASIDE LEAVING THE REFRIGERANT LINES CONNECTED.REMOVE ALTERNATOR THROUGH BOLT.THEN REMOVE ALTERNATOR.

Remove cables from alternator. Loosen tensioner bolt. Remove belt. Replace alternator. Replace belt. Tighten tensioner bolt. Replace cables and done. Mike. Rate 100% please.
