Try changing the temperature of the rear a/c if the sound stops, check the rear a/c servo that controls air flow/termperature.

It sounds more like you have a bad connection somewhere or possibly a weak battery.

CAR DOES NOT START

Perhaps the impact fuel cut-off switch is triggered. It is located inside the right rear quarter panel, above the tire jack. Press the reset button on the switch block and the fuel pump should start.
Sometimes closing the hatchback triggers it.

1998 buick regal blower motor and resistor making a click sound on high but will not turn on

You should always make sure that the parts you put back are compatible with the parts you take off. If i am not mistaken, there is another fan resistor outside under the hood, and one inside under the passenger side dash panel, if your motor is inside. One outside is for high, and the one inside is for low, medium, and medium high. If you know for a fact both speed control resistors are good, replace the switch on the dash panel. To check to see if the dash switch is not making good contact, take the switch while it is still in, and on low, high, or medium, push the switch lever to the right or left gentlely to see if it makes any contact. These year model cars are notoriuos of having fan motor issues early........

I have a 2004 ford explorer. I recently back into a pole and now there is a loud clicking noise coming from the rear left side

you have a fuel interuptor or fuel cut off switch best way to locate the switch is to have someone turn the switch on and off with the back hstch open whilr keys turned off and on. there are 2 panels on left and right at the inside of truck, detect where the click comes from when keys turned off and on. simply push in on the red button under the panel. either left or right. remove both panels at rear gate to determine where the clicking is coming from.push the red erset button and truck should start.

1988 mazda 323 hatchback, 212K miles. Tried to start this morning, no go. Cabin lights and radio came on, ignition switch turns, but no "click-click-click" sound. I think the starter isn't connecting...

I would have the system checked by a starting/charging analyzer. If the draw is 1 or 2 amps and the starter doesn't turn, the starter will have to be replaced to replace the bad solenoid. Also, if the draw is 75 to 125 amps and it doesn't turn, the starter is bad.

Normally, a starter should draw 75 to 125 amps and turn vigorously, assuming the battery connections are ok.

My 1996 honda accord wont start. all the lights and inside check lights come on, but it won't turn over, no click, just silence.

Sounds to me like you should start by checking the battery. However, it could also be the ignition switch. Try turning the key to the "ON" position, but do no try to crank the engine. If you can hear a whining noise (the fuel pump), I'd be more inclined to say it's an issue with the battery or starter. If you can't hear anything still, I'd lean more towards a totally dead battery or a bad ignition switch. If the lights are on on the dash and seem to be bright and not dim when trying to start, it's probably more on the ignition switch end of things. Electrical problems when having a "no-start" issue can be very tricky to trace. It could even come down to a blown fuse for the ignition switch.

I know that's a lot to look into, but no-start problems tend to take more diagnostics than most other issues.

Good luck.
