Cluch won't dis engage

I have a 1994 Mazda Miata and it will no longer shift I noticed a switch on the cluch peddal I assume runs some kind of electric over hydrolic to push the cluch in .. Should I start there replaceing the switch to determine if my cluch is bad .. Buy this question you can probably tell I'm no machanic but I'm trying to determine what needs to get fixed.
Any help would be appriceated the car will drive but when I start it up now with the cluch in it still moves so its not disingageing

How long have you had your car? How many miles on it?

Maybe the clutch plate gone, if the plate is not thick enough, you won't change the gear.

When I press the clutch in my 99 Rodeo, there is this horrible noise. What is the problem?

if the noise is only there when you push down the clutch, you need to replace the throw out bearing.

My 2010 Mazda mx5 needs the clutch replaced with only 10000 of careful driving. Is this a common problem?

No thats not normal Idon;t see how this could be posible ever if you tryed to burn it out The problem may not be the cluch disc it may be one of to cylinders in the hydrolic system Dose it slip or not shift correctly I realy don;t what to tell you but i know you couldn;t burned that clutch out in 10;000 miles Theres got to be another reason for this to be happening take it to someone else and get another opinion on whats wrong good luck

That toggle switch is for the security system. That year miata never came with any switches for the soft top of any kind. Most likely that is an aftermarket alarm system. Most factory alarm systems do not come with a toggle switch.

Cluch is slipping after changing it

everytime you change a clutch, it is good practice to change the pressure plate also. in this case, thats what I would do.
