Question about 2000 Cadillac DeVille
The AC puts an extra load on the cooling system in your car. a short descriptive reason is that the AC condensor is in front of the radiator therefore the heat it emits is dumped into the radiator cooling fins. so when your car overheats when the AC is on and dont overheat when its off its an early warning sign that something in your engine cooling system is going bad. such as thermastat or waterpump. or it could mean your radiator need flushing from the inside and the fins could be clogged with dirt and bugs that get past the grille. try cleaning the cooling system fins first the ac condensor and radiator see if water will sprat through the grill into the fan with your water hose. then if cleaning check all the other items i mentioned good luck james
