The heater in my 2001 Doge Ram 2500, 5.9 Diesel Truck is the absolute worst. I drive 30 min every morning to work, and it takes 25 of those minutes to feel any heat coming out of the vents. My temperature gauge has to reach 190 degrees before you can feel an ounce of warm air. I have tried changing the thermostat, as well as partially card boarding the radiator when it gets extremely cold with no change in results. When the A/C is on it kicks cold air forcefully, but the heater trickles air out. Does my truck maybe have a HEPA filter that I don't know about?

Where are the glow plug relays located on a 2001 dodge 2500 diesel cummings motor

There arent any glow plugs, there is an intake heater in the manifold, there are 2 relays under driver side battery that warms the heater (when wait to start light is on) for starting.

2001 dodge 3/4 diesel truck my heater does not

Hey,
I'll assume for now that the blower motor is working.
Now, there are a couple of things things to check.
1. Easiest thing to check is the coolant level. If the coolant is low, your heater will not give any warm air. Hopefully this is the problem as it's the easiest fix.
2. The thermostat. When the engine and coolant are hot, your top rad hose should be hot as well. See if the rad hose is hot to the touch. If it isn't, your thermostat might be faulty. It's a fairly easy and cheap fix as well.
Good luck.

No a/c, no freon....2001 dodge ram 2500 diesel 2 wheel drive

It is most likely the evaporator leaking. You'll need to remove the dash panel assembly and the heater housing to gain access. I have replace many Chrysler evaporators in trucks, minivans, and Jeeps to name a few. I hope this helps.
