Question about 2000 Chrysler Concorde

1 Answer

Electronic immobilization We own a 2000 Concorde in which a new key had to be cut after the orignal key had been lost. The new key started the car, but then the vehicle cut off, I think the immobilization system has been triggered because now the key turns in the ignition and all of the things work inside, but the car will not start. Is there a way to manually overide this system to prevent the car from being towed into the dealer? Thank You

How would I start a 2000 2.4 litter Mitsubishi triton glx using a non coded key

Hi Russell, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Russell, you cannot start a security installed vehicle with a none security key. If you have lost your key to the vehicle then here's what you can do. Take the last 8 of your VIN Number and your vehicle to the Mitsubishi Dealer and they can cut and program a new key to the security module. NOTE: Another way to do this is to have the dealer cut a new key for the vehicle and then call around to find a lock smith that has the ability to program the key to the vehicle. NOTE: I would check to see which way is cheaper. To Tow the vehicle OR have a lock smith come to you. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website here: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

I have 1999 isuzu rodeolost my key cut new one engine cranking no spark or injector what can i do

sounds like the lost ket is a PATS key, and the new cut key, while matching tumblers in the ignition is not coded to the PCM to allow starting. recommend check with dealer, have your registration and VIN# ready, dealer can reproduce a PATS key that should start your vehicle.

Need to override factory keyless entry wont start

First of all you need to programm all ignition keys using suitable diagnostic equipment (VAS, VAG-Com) connected to the data link connector of the car.

You have an electronic immobilizer key recognition problem. Now your key chip is not recognized by the transponder antenna fitted on the ignition switch barrel.

  • Everytime when you had a new key you must programm all available ignition car keys before trying to start the engine with this new key !!!

This warning lamp indicates that the engine is locked by the immobilizer system, and the engine start sequence must be repeat again.

From year 1995 in Audi-VW (VAG) cars is used engine immobilizer. The VAG group immobilizer system consists of an immobilizer ECU which controls the recognition of keys and the Engine Management ECU system. Immobilizer is activated when the ignition key is removed and, together with the engine control unit, largely prevents unauthorized starting of the engine. The system uses a transmitter and receiver unit in the ignition key (transponder). Whenever an attempt is made to start the engine, it transmits a new code to the car's electronics. The immobilizing is only cancelled and car motor electronic receives permission to start engine if the key sends a right authorization code.

I lost the key for my range rover hse 1996 model the look smith cut me a new key but the car is starting

So the car does not start after getting a new key cut correct? If you have the title to the vehicle, take it to your local Land Rover dealer and they can cut you a new key. Does the car have keyless entry/anti theft from the factory? If so they key will need programmed by the dealer.
