All wheel drive

My mechanic says that my allwheel drive is going out in my suv. He says its about 5,000 to fix. has anyone had any problems with there all wheel drive going out and did you fix it or have it fixed? Also does anyone know what happens when it does finally go out? What are the symptons? thank much

Call aroiund xcall a dealer service dept ftell them what going on maybe they give a frew ideas.Ask them if they might take it for small test drive sust to make sure go to a few different gareages and get there opinnions.

None, the transmissions are the same. It is the T cases that are different. All wheel drive and four wheel drive T cases are different.

My 2000 olds silohuette has a light on the dash that says " all wheel drive disabled". What does it mean, and how can I fix it ???


all wheel drive disabled means only 2 of the 4 wheels are driving and there should be a switch on the dash to reengage allwheel drive good luck

I was trying to use the four whell drive and after a did the differncial stayed lock and I dont know how to unlock it can you help me and tell me how to do it please? its a 1994 toyota landcrusier allwheel...


Your Toyota should be in four wheel drive all the time. If you look at your owner's Manual it should give you some options, but you should not be able to take it out of four will drive it should be fulltime four wheel drive. Good luck.

look under vehicle if u have axles at back and front u have allwheel also look around on trim should have an awd badge on it and if still unsure call a dealer and give him ur vin number and they can tell u

A 41ae is and allwheel drive and a 41te is front wheel drive only. So if you look under the van and see if there is a driveshaft going to the rear axle that is a 41ae allwheel drive.
