Question about 1999 Ford Escort
My speedometer was working then not then working, but then going up n down.just today now its dead and check engine light is on? how do i fix it?what parts do i need?and how much will it cost? if i take it in how much they charge me?
For lwthegirl; invest <$20 in an aftermarket service manual from Haynes or Chilton.
They are available from any chain parts stores and will pay you back with time many times over.
For the 'guest' I would recommend the same since it will show you where the speed sensor is hidden.
There are several possibilities; wheels, drive shafts, etc. essentially anywhere that is related to road speed and independent of engine or transmission.
