Question about Peugeot 604
I was driving down the motorway at 60 miles an hour, there was a loud pop noise . I thought that it was a tyre burst. I had a loss of power, and black smoke when I put my foot on the accelerator. An orange warning light came on. I was able to drive home, without over heating.
It sounds as though the same has hapened to me as described as above.Orange engine light came on dash. Thanks

A clogged, overheated catalyst can do this, it sends a signal to the computer and lowers performance plus increases the gas usage.
