The blower doesn't work or it's not cooling? the rear unit has it's own blower but if it's not cooling it could be a clogged expansion valve in the rear A/C evaporator

I replaced the blend door actuator on my 2005 Tahoe on the rear A/C unit and it moves the actuator to its full range and then won't move?

In most cases once you replace the actuator, you have to calibrate it with a scan tool thru the computer.

Chevy 2005 tahoe z71 blows cold air in back but hot air in front

Just got an answer from Chevy Dealer. When you replaced the battery it loses its memory as to where the door actuators were (the flaps that control the heat and A/C).

The fix:
Turn everything off and let the car sit overnight. The computer should reset itself during its learnings process.
In the morning turn on the ignition and let the car run for a few minutes before turning on the climate control.

If this doesn't work, plan on 1-1.5hours of labor for a technician to reset the actuators at the dealership.

Good luck.

The drivers side AC vents of my 2005 chevy tahoe started blowing hot air today. The rest of my air conditioning is running fine (passenger side and rear vents). Is this a thermostat issue and is it...

More than likely the problem is with one of the blend doors or its actuator motor inside the HVAC unit in the dash. The repair involves a partial disassembly of the dash to access the parts. This definitely not a thermostat issue.

A clogged drip line would be my first suspicion.

Anytime warmer air passes over something cold, there will be condensation. It has to go somewhere, either under the vehicle, or onto the floor.

The fact that you are getting water there indicates that the evaporator is doing its job.
