Transmission d-4 light blinkin

D4 light blinks-I've noticed this seems to concide with my a/c on when cranking car. If I turn off a/c light continues to blink, but can restart car and no blinking, but if I turn a/c back on car is very sluggish almost as if my foot is on the brake. With a/c on steady pushing the gas it may jump and go on great just as if I've taken my foot off the brake. This is not a constant problem yet, but has happen 4 times in the last 3 days. Have not it happen when a/c is turned off upon cranking the car.

My ol' lady bought a 2001 Jimmy a while back, n now she's havin probs. Found a block of wood btween oil pan nframe. Small prob but now sevice engine starts blinkin. It used to stop now stays blinkin. Runs...

This could be as simple as overfilling your gas tank, loose gas cap, or a loose connector somewhere. Then again, it could be a bad oxygen sensor, maf sensor, fuel injector, or intake manifold. Have you scanned the truck for any engine codes?

Running the engine while the check engine light is flashing can cause severe damage. You can burn valves or cat converters up and such. Catch it now before you need a new engine.

Why does the o/d light start blinkin on my shifer as soon as i turn the key on?

Depending on the year make and model, it usually means the overdrive is disabled due to a problem with the transmission or the control module.

I bought a new battery but my car still wouldnt start

You may have a defective starter solenoid, this is the common symptom, a click and no engine turn over. Have a shop diagnose this before any parts are replaced but i feel sure the starter solenoid is the problem here. The solenoid is mounted to the top of the starter motor which is bolted into the transmission's bell housing.

My check engine light keeps blinkin on my 2003 chevy impala and keeps shakin

Take it in, a blinking check engine light is not a good sign. Solid yellow is ok, blinking yellow or red is in need of service. Get the codes checked asap.

Sorry to deliver bad news but that blinking light means you have a code that has been sent to the computer. That code usually means the transmission is about to go out. If it seems you loose power in fact the clutches in the transmission are more than likely slipping. This could be from wear or you might get lucky and your transmission may be really low on fluid. My daughter had thesame year honda and she was checking the oil level for about a year thinking it was the transmission dip stick. You may be able to go to Auto Zone or Advanced Auto parts and get them to pull the code out of the computer to tell you what is the problem they usually do this for free but the problem is a lot of them do not have the older codes anymore. But if its free then its a try. Hope this helped, Good lick
