what type of battery you need a gmc suburban

  • wlmoon411 Jul 30, 2008

Ok before you start to spend to much money check out the battery cable post ends. Mind would die and wouldn't start and i found out it was the battery post the plastic coverings were interfering with the metal parts. so i cut it away and changes the ends and it works just fine.

If your distributor is not set correctly (+/- 2) it will also place drag on the vehicle starting. In addition, your service light will remain on with error function P1345.

Your starter solenoid is stuck. If you have electrical power to the rest of your car. That is most likely your problem. The solution would be to replace your starter. You can take your solenoid off and just replace it.

Battery is dead or starter wires are not making proper connection. Check the starter wires first.

Starter wont engage

This may seem weird, but does the belt looked frayed to you?
I had a friend that had this problem, and it turned out the alt. was froze up. belt was just sliding, pully wasn't moving.
Also, have you tried "jumping" the starter to rule it out?
Is it getting enought gas? Could be a clogged fuel filter.

1999 Mercury Sable. The car wont start. Battery is good. Checked the starter and it tested good. When I put the starter back on the car did start a couple of times but now is back to just clicking. I...

Check to see if your ground is connected real good where it attaches to the block. Have had this happen to me many times and it always gets me. It sounds like a dead battery or starter but it wasn't. Make sure the cable to the soleinoid is good as well as connections to it as well, they could be loose. As far as the owners manual, email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. No worries no cost. I hope this helps and good luck.

Manufacturer control yukon gmc im getting a code my truck wont start with out a jump but my battery is charged

If your truck starts with a jump, you need a new battery. Your battery may show a full charge, but it may have a dead cell, or worse. Replace the battery and you should be alright. While you are at the Auto Parts store you should get the code scanned and report back what the code is.

1999 landcrusier ignition switch does not turn over engine. Get a clicking sound when turning the ignition key.

It sounds like you have a dead battery. Try jump starting the vehicle or take the battery and have it tested and charged.

Sounds like a dead battery. However, I will tell you that these vehicles are very sensitive to voltage. Try cleaning the battery cables and tightening them properly.
