Question about 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix

1 Answer

Grand Prix lighting

I have a 2002 Grand Prix. All the interior lights are always on and naturally the battery runs down every few days. Where are the door open switches located? Inside the latch?

Take out the light bulb until you find the problem. Or put it on a switch? It sounds like a ground issue. Perhaps a pinched wire around one of the doors. Perhaps a speaker install in the door? Good luck.

Interior lights stay on while driving.

Check that all the grounds to the door buttons to the interior lights are connected to the buttons and not just flopping around and touching the metal at times. Then be sure to check the body ground from the battery to the body, not just the engine. These problems are normally caused by a faulty and intermittent ground wire connection that is hard to find. I always check my grounds first.

possibly bad switch and needs replacement try pushing in on the switch a few times to loosen it up as well as some WD-40 or lubricant to free it as debris will withhold it from fully disengaging such as rusty etc ...a good starting point

2002 pontiac grand prix abs and trac off lights are on. I already had the hub and wheel bearing assembly replaced. Light went off for 3 day and now it is back on again. What else could it be?

has to be scanned with the computer to find out what is cause the abs to shut down and the shut down trac control! could be a defect hub bearing ! if it was off for three day then came back on. sounds like it anyway! do assume it's good because you got it new! good luck
