My 2005 avalanche wont shift right and the tach doesnt work

I highly doubt the tachometer has anything to do with what you are explaining. Did they go out at the same time? Could be your torque converter gone bad, could be you just need to get the tranny serviced (usually about 80.00 dollars at your transmission shop). They will flush fluids, and replace filter. this could fix your problem. If you don\'t trust the transmission shop, don\'t tell them what its doing, if you can help it, when you drop off. Just tell them you want the flush and replacement of filter service. If its still doing it after that, then you will have to start looking at more $ to fix. Good luck

Is there a torque spec for front end cv axle nut to hub on 2000 Plymouth Neon

  • Yes there is a torque spec of 180 foot lbs. is recommended. I highly suggest never using an impact for the hub to axle application. If you don't use a properly calibrated torque wrench you could have problems in the future.

  • Hope this helps.

I am trying to replace the starter in a 2000 nissan sentra SE. However I can not find anything to tell me how I need to do this. Can you help?

first you need to get car on ramps or blocked up high enough for you to get under ,or you might be able to get from top side but ive found it better to go under car.once you have car up then DISCONNECT BATTERY,once you located starter, you will need either a star bit or alan bit ,some have torques head, once you have desired bit remove bolts usaly 2 one on each side and sometimes a center support bolt, then slowy pull starter out so you can get to wires on starter pls close attention to ware wires are located on each terminal,NOTE A CAMERA PHONE MAKES IT EASY,so you can put them back on correctly, once wires are off and starter is free, you can replace starter with new one, putting wired back on rt terminal THIS IS WARE YOUR CAMERA PHONE COMES IN USE,place starter back in ,NOTE WHEN YOU TAKE STARTER OUT THERE MAYBE LITTLE METAL TABS ON BOLT THESE ARE CALLED SHIMS YOU MAY HAVE TO REPLACE THESE SHIMS DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF SHAPE THEY ARE IN,put bolts back in tighten ,you can use a torque wrench or just tighten real tight ,their is torque specs for starter refeer to manual or call delearship they will be glad to tell you specs for free, once you have starter in connect battery, then start car,if starter is noisy when starting then you may have to loosen bolts and put shim in,hope ive helped you not confused you

1972 chevelle starter trouble

Since you have replaced the starter motor with a higher torque one then the next approach that I would take would be to inspect the flywheel teeth. It sounds like maybe these teeth could be damaged or even missing. If this is the case it requires you to get a new flywheel.

2005 aveo got code on transmishion p 0300 p 0700 and p1781

It sounds like you have a problem with your crank sensor or cam sensor!! You will have to take to a dealer that knows how to learn the crank sensore.. Yes it has to be learned into the computer.

Also there was a sevice bulletn on mising being that the intake valves needed to be replaced and reseated.

The transmission code is being sent because of the randome missing.. so it will not upshift into I think 4th (lockup). and the other is sent to torque because of the random miss also..

Solution!!!!!!! take to dealer and have them relearn crank sensor!!!

Hope this helps

1966 chevelle with 283 cu. in.

the r terminal only has 12 volts on it when you are cranking the starter over. so the wire that goes to the r terminal goes to the plus side of the coil then the wire that come from the switch also goes to the coil this wire should have only about 8.5 volts on it when switch is in run position the r terminal puts 12 volt on the coil while cranking the motor over the when the switch is in the run position there is 8.5volt on the points so you don't burn the points out the diode kit i don't no why you need it unless the don't what any back feed volt to the r terminal in the run position so i would put it in line(series) with the r terminal wire the flow on the diode is from the -<- this side of the diode goes to the coil
