Question about 2001 Ford Focus
Engine won't start just a clicking noise, battery is good
Check for short using a light tester, to use the tester disconnect neg terminal and connect the light tester to battery and the neg clamp. if the light lights up you have a short. to find short pull one fuse at a time until the light goes out and there is your short. if it is your control timer unit replace by, removing the interior fuse box and removing the control timer unit a black unit with 32 pins. and replace.

I had the same problem. Most likely something is draining the battery causing it to click or die when not in use. I eventually found out that it was the radio, by checking all the fuses.
