Problem for Acura 2003 RSX

Check Engine and noisy belts in the hood

Hi I just got an ACURA RSX 2003 and i dont know if this needs timing belt replacement or is it a chain that doesnt ever need to be replaced and self adjusting? Problem is my idle is rough, im not sure if its just a case of simple tune up. Belts become noisy once the car gets warm.

- Well the rev is ok, but if i play with the gas with soft touch, it goes down to 500 rpm that i hear a squea and engine vibrates. Slight misfire i guess. Check engine has lit twice but it just goes off.

try just changing your serpentine belt which is the source or your squeaking you hear when the rpm start to jump around.

your car has a timing chain with a hydraulic tensioner. is it just an unstable idle ( revs up and down) or does the engine have a slight misfire?
