Cant find starter - 2001 Cadillac DeVille

good luck to change the starter you gotta take off the front axle its so dumb u cant get to it unless you do that. good luck.. my advice take it into a mechanic. u really do have to remove the whole front axle

hydrostatic is my bet,pull the plugs and try it.

The starter solenoid is part of the starter motor assembly.

Find the positive battery terminal, follow cable to starter terminal or remote solenoid, then follow cable to starter.

Follow the positive battery cable, it leads to the starter. If you open the hood, its level with your knees, where the eng and trans meet. If you cant find it, how do you know its bad, how did you test it?

dont. go to the auto parts store and get a new starter. getting one at a scarp yard is a band aid fix and can become a bigger problem later on

the starter selinoid is on the starter itself. normally a parts dealer will never seel you a starter selinoid individually but they will sell the starter with the selinoid. but you cant change the selinoid without changing the starter

Need to fix starter motor on a magna TF executive but cant find it could you tell us where it would be located

changed a clutch on one of these a few weeks ago and cant remember what i done ,old timers i think ?? not sure but its from below with a rear support bracket ,and a inlet manifold stay bar ,,,3/8 drive socket set with a knuckle and 3 long extension bars to get to top inside bolt as well i think ?? honestly cant remember ,i work on all makes and cant remember every one

check wiring at the starter, and also check fuses, sounds like something has shorted out.
