Question about 1989 Toyota Camry
All power windows stopped working all of a suden All 4 windows do not work. Removed switch assy. from drivers door and disassembled, finding contacts burned badly. Previous owner had wire running from battery to switch, evidently to operate windows. Disconnected that wire, ordered new switch assy, installed and windows still do not operate. Haynes manual (very vague) shows a power main relay and a 30a power circuit breaker but I cannot find the location to check these (wire colors depicted in manual are wrong too). The power door lock switch did not work on the old switch either but it now works. I live in the south and am burning up. Anyone got some good troubleshooting steps / solutions for me?
I can provide wiring diagrams and locations however I need to know what size motor you have. The 2.0L or 2.5L.
Thanks in advance
