When I use the key to lock my doors, all doors lock except for rear passenger side. You can hear the motor trying to lock, but does not lock this one door.

Same problem, except it affects both of my rear doors.

    Hi

for a while now my Accord Tourer has been used less than daily, sometimes only once a week. I thought that was the reason for an empty battery sometimes.

After replacing the battery and charging it completely it would still not start after only a week. I think that is too fast.

Also I noticed that the central locking system would sometimes just lock at random while driving. Or it would make locking sounds while already locked. I also had it lock on me while parked with the keys in it.

I measured the current at the battery with the keys removed. About 200 milliamperes. After removing the fuse for the central locking system and the power windows, only 19 milliamperes was left.

I have the feeling that 180 milliamperes just for the receiver of the central locking system is too much. That would explain that the battery drains so quickly.

    So my questions are:
What is the normal current when switched off?
If 200 mA is too much, which what is the name and location of the receiver for the central locking system?

    Thanks in advance, Guus

Hi check your fuses before anything else if they are ok check your wiring in the drivers door as it seems the drivers door actuator is faulty be carfull if you try to see if you can test by by-passing the actuator all the switches need to be connected before you can test as one feeds the other and vise -versa if no live going to the switch and its not a fuse check the wiring loom where it passes through the door to the a-post as opening and closing the door breaks the wires yates210456

My honda 2003 accord will go into my door lock and ignition but will not turn in either

what will go into, missing noun, a key?

you have a key, just one, all cars come with 2,

so all keys fail , and where, ??

will not turn means,

wrong key

key worn out, that is why there are 2

key lock full of ICE,

never own any car with one key, or get stranded.

on my POS jeep i have to have 3, smart key Bs. (dont ask, grrrrrr)

tell more get more.

the electric is like this (above is mech, locks)

1: check all fuse, in both boxes.

2: use both fobs 1 at time, and never both near key lock.

3: use only the fob , with no other keys near. (neat)

4: if both fobs fail, this the car side failing

5: if one fob fails it need a new internal battery 99%) or got soaked.

6: if non above works reset the cars security system (ask if this far)

never reset, blindly or risk , losing radio or nav secret codes.

always ask for newer cars. newer car suck this way. big time.

on my car, if i fool it, it goes dumb for 24hours. watch out.

12/6/2010 2003 bmw 325xi: Key does not manually lock/unlock driver door...but still works in ignition and trunk...central locking system still works to lock/unlock all doors(including driver) from...

If the key turns in the lock, but does nothing, then the linkage has become disconnected or broken. The key is mechanical to the lock and the lock has a electrical switch to operate the central locking unit. Could be a simple broken clip from the lock barrel. Hope this helps

Rear doors unlock but will not lock

I assume you mean that the central locking system will not lock the doors but you can do so manually.

Get inside the vehicle and close all doors.

On each rear door, lock and unlock the mechanism manually a couple of times. In other words do not use the key pad.

Then leave both rear doors in the locked position (manual locking) and operate the lock button on you key pad to operate the central locking system. Wait a few seconds then hit unlock on your key pad and a few seconds later hit lock on your key pad.

If the system fails to lock your rear doors you will need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician to check out the issue and rectify it for you. There are a number of possible causes which cannot be identified without physically checking the system. So you will need to have this rectified by a professional.
