Most likely your window motor is about done for. This is common in alot of older vehicles. It will go down because its working with gravity but to pull it back up it just doesnt have the power anylonger. I have picked up some good ones at my local junk yard pretty cheap. Hope this helps!

Pass Window Wont Roll Up, But it rolled down, and if you lift it up, then hit button to go down, it rolls down... drivers window rolls down, then you have to play with the switch to get it up again, s

Qsmoma:

If the window closes when you play with the switch, the switch is probably ok. The window may have jumped out of the track or the track is damaged. Pull the inside door trim and check the track and mechanical arms that extend from the bottom frame of the window.

Window dosent want to go up or down

There is no track to come off of

Usually the Window Regulator Assy breaks

Could be a bad door switch or wiring issue

Hitting a door is not a diagnostic technique

1994 ford bronco rear window wont go up or down

IF YOU CAN HEAR THE WINDOW MOTOR CLICKING WHEN YOU TRY TO CLOSE IT, IT'S PROBABLY THE PLASTIC GEARS (COMMON PROBLEM) I PICKED ONE UP FOR $25. IF THERE OS NO NOISE WHEN YOU HIT THE SWITCH IT IS EITHER A SHORT OR THE MOTOR ITSELF $90. IT'S THE SAME MOTOR AS YOU FRONT DOOR WINDOWS.

Driver side window getting stuck sometimes will go up and down other times it wont hitting door from inside sometimes gets it going but not always

You may have a dirty contact in the window switch, or a loose connection at the switch or window motor in the door.

I have a 2000 ford ranger my electric windows wont go up or down but when i hit the switch you can hear a click noise under the dashboard.

i would suggest pulling the door pannel so you can see if the motor is running, or if maybe the window is out of track. I had that problem on a f-150 and just had to adjust the window into track.

sounds like the igntion switch has failed, not the key cylinder but the actual electrical switch, a common problem on these earlier honda's, the bit about when the windows work is the dead give away

I have a 2001 rodeo. the power windows all work from each window if you hit that particular switch at the window, they work. the drivers side window also rolls down. but the 3 other switches at the drivers...

First check your fuse panel. Other than that...Perhaps moisture has gotten in the door panel and messed with the connection. I would take the panel off and investigate..make sure everything is plugged in.

Drivers side window wont close - completely open

If other windows work, it won't be the fuse. Probably switch on door, wiring at door hinge area, or motor. Did you try banging on the inside of the door panel about half way down while hitting the switch, or pulling up on window while someone pushes the switch? That's providing you can get a grip on the glass. Sometimes motor will hit a dead spot & sharp blow to panel, will get it moving again until better fix can be done.
