I have a 2005 dodge caravan.starter clicks but it wont turn over.we had starter checked and they said it is ok

You have to see if your getting 12V from the relay to the starter. If you are check for a good ground at the starter. If all is well, R/R THE STARTER. g

if the voltage is correct. it may be a bad solinoid for starter, or the starter itself. check and make sure all connections from starter to battery, are clean and tight. with car off, voltage at battery should be at least 12.6 volts or better,engine off, with the engine on and if alternater is ok! it should read at least 14.2-14.6 at battery. good-day!

1999 Dodge Caravan wont start new battery,new starter,nothing but clicks when key is turned on continues to click when key is off could this be the relay switch checked power to starter starter is energized

Couple of things to look at. Is the battery ok. Have the battery tested to check its condition. Low battery voltage will most definatly cause this problem. If the battery checks ok then check the connections to it, they must be clean and tight.If the above two items are good then you may have a starter problem. The click would be the starter solenoid enguaging but the starter wont spin. Best guess based on your complaint is the battery or connections to it! Good luck!

take starter off prop in a vice and hook up battery to see if spins up could be brand new faulty starter i seen that before!!!!while your at it see if you can turn the engine pully to see if seized or not!these are all what i would do!!!also why did you changer starter to begin with???

Check the batt first. The clicking is the starter trying to turn.
