Check engine light

Hello, My transmission went out on my 2006 ridgeline last year I think in november 2007. ever since than my check egine light keeps blinking. I bring it in & they say nothing is wrong its a miss fire code I have brought it in several times since the transmission change. now its back in the shop they have had it for 2 weeks now and they do not know what the problem is. the check engine light came on & stayed on this time & the VTM-4 was on. when I brought it to them the VTM-4 was off they said they fixed it. I told them to test drive it for a few hours so one of the guys took it home he lives about 2-3 hours away & the check engine light & VTM-4 came on & it was slowing down & seems to not drive as fast. so now they believe me but have no clue as to the problem. Please help. Thanks

Two of my 2006 honda ridgeline spark plugs are in a difficult location. How do I change those 2 right back side plugs?

Mitsubishi use high quality platinum plugs in the back side of the V6 because of the difficulty of replacing them. I would not be surprised if Honda use the same idea.. Remember that with EFI engines the plugs will generally out last the engine any way and the old idea that it is necessary for a tune up is defeated by the fact that EFI engines have a ECM that keeps the engine in perfect tune or throws up a code to let you know other wise.

I have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline and the check engine light came on, so i went out and bought a OBDII scanner. It gave me a code for PO42O, catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1 left side. I'm...

this sensor is located on the side of the engine that cylinder 1 is on,assuming this is a v6 or v8.you will have to check the 02 wave form to make sure the 02 is switching properly,if it is then you will have to check the effiecency of the catalytic convertor on the same side.it may be the problem and not the convertor.

Honda ridgeline 2007 check engine light on

The check engine light is because all check engine light codes are caused by components that affect emissions. It's not actually an engine problem, it's a problem with either your O2 sensor, MAF sensor, fuel/air ratio, pyrometer, or exhaust.

I would start with an OBDII scan, this will tell you what component is malfunctioning.

I am having a multiple cylinder misfire on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 with the 3.5L V6. Every cylinder is reporting a mifire. Each cylinder has it's own coil. I highly doubt that all 6 coils went bad at once. Does anyone have any idea what my be causing this?? Is that the problem you two are having?
