Where is the fuel filter?

Between the fuel tank and the engine!

Where are the fuel feed and fuel return for the injection system located?

They both run together from the tank up to the engine. They are both connected into the fuel rail on top of the engine. Sometimes the feed line is slightly bigger than the return line, or the feed line will be the one with the fuel filter in it.

Fuel line rusted out on my 1988 nissan pathfinder. Can I replace with a flex line? Also need line diameter.... thanks.. 6 cyl.

The line diameter should be 3/8 fuel feed line, and 5/16 fuel return line if the vehicle is fuel injected you must use fuel injection hose and fuel injection clamps. if its got carb. them you dont have to use fuel injection line.

Car boggs down...fuel problem?

2001 Elantra WITHOUT fuel injection? You are mistaken. It sounds like a BAD TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Is there a "Check Engine" light?
If so, retrieve the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) and tell me what it is. Otherwise, you can go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (Vehicle VIN) and you'll have access to technical info about the vehicle (manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc.). Please remember to RATE my response..... thanks.
