I bought a flame trap kit for my 1994 945 Non Turbo. Where is is it located on the engine? Is it easy to replace?

my car is spewing oil after driving about twenty miles. I am assuming that the flame trap is clogged and it is building to much pressure. I just can't seem to locate the flame trap so I can replace it.

Tubos dont have flame traps, clean out all the vac lines ports and the 5/8 hose running over top of your valve cover/but if you had a none turbo it would be on the drivers side, back of engine, below the intake with a 5/8 size black hose hooked to it inside the end of it were a small vac line connects

Hi ,bought a fuel injector from eBay and I'm not sure it's the right one for my fiat coupe 20 v turbo ,are the injectors for a fiat coupe 20v non turbo the same ?

Turbo and non turbo are not the same...check the serial numbers against one another, if you install one wrong injector you will damage your engine completely!
ask the agents nicely if they can compare before replacement! Good luck cheers Dave

How do i check if the pcv valve of my volvo v50 2008 model wagon needs replacement? where is it located in the engine?

There's a relatively easy test. Use a rubber glove and hold it over teh oil filler while the engine is idling. If it inflates the glove, you need to replace the PCV kit.
Also, do the same over the dip stick tube. If it inflates...

It should gently suck the glove in, showing slight vacuum.

As for replacing it - wheee! That's a fun one. You basically remove the fan, the air tube (if it's a turbo) and then the intake manifold. Then you replace the oil separator, use a zip tie to poke around the drain from the oil separator to ensure that's open. The banjo bolts are the hard parts to get to, but otherwise it's more tedious than difficult.

There's a kit from FCP that is about $350 or so, and contains all the parts. I ended up using regular screw-type clamps instead of the Oetiker 'squeeze' clamps Volvo used on the hose connections.

How do i change the turbo motor and put a non turbo motor in a 2003 pt cruiser

Changing out an entire engine is no easy feat. The biggest difference you'll have is with the exhaust system. The non turbo engine connects differently.

Flame Trap

A flame trap for what? Who said you need a flame trap? I think you are being BSd. If you own a Volvo then ask a Volvo mechanic.

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs non turbo that has a water outlet that has been pitted and needs replacing. I cannot find the outlet for the non-turbo. Any suggestions?

Your problem is most likely because you are describing your vehicle as a "Gs". The only similar listings in the catalog are for a "GSX". (The parts counter person probably has no clue that there is a difference) The GSX is only built in a turbo version, therefore you will not find a water outlet for the non-turbo version...it simply does not exist.

Now, if you simply describe it as an Eclipse, there are water outlets listed for the turbo 2.0L, the non-turbo 2.0L and the non-turbo 2.4L engines. You did not bother to mention engine size, so I will list the part numbers for BOTH of the non-turbo engines.

For the 2.4L engine: Compressor Works Part Number 815517

For the 2.0L engine: Compressor Works Part Number 815576

Both are available from AutoZone

Where is the fuel filter on a A4 2000-2001 1.8 non turbo

Fuel filter is not fun on this car. Located in the front top of the tank beneath the car. Tank must be lowered to gain access. Banjo nuts difficult to access. Fuel under pressure in line will squirt out... messy. Good job to be done on a lift.
