Problem began with vehicle not restarting after completing multiple stops/restarts around town. Now car is stalling and won't restart when idling for too long in stop and go traffic. Let it coll down/sit for a couple of hours and vehicle is fine. Checked for fault codes - nothing. Replaced wiring harness to fuel tank and temp sensor - no improvement. HELP!!!!

Chjk out yourMaF Sensor. All the symtoms of a dirty or malfunctioning maf. It's in thhe intake ducting in a metalsection, or in the air cleaner box YThe wires to it will help you locat it.It can be cleaned using C R C electricalspray cleaner. Do not brush rub or use compress air. the unit is very espensive and fragile. The spray cleaner dries fast on its own. Make sure nothing (dirt ) is in the ducting to get sucked into the motor. Good Luck, Ned_

if it starts from aerostart the the problem is that the injectors are not getting a signal to squirt. Run the fault codes to find which sensors are not working.

sounds like a Crank Position sensor. It's hitting at random instead of in tune with where the crank is at any given time. So I say "Yep" to your question "Maybe a new crank sensor?" : )

I heard it might be the sensors but its just like the car wont start like theres no gas rining to the motor im thinking eather pump or filter but the fule gage always rises

Fuel pump if you turn the key do not crank engine if you do not hear a small grunt sound it will be your fuel pump that is not working

Our 2001 Galant will not start.

The fuel filter is possible but not probable. Questions to ask yourself: Was the car running of before failure (meaning was it running ok until you went to start it the next day?) If it died overnight or after parking it for a few hours I'd say no not the filter. Does it have spark? If yes then ok, if not probably a sensor (crank sensor / cam sensor failed) Does it get fuel? Crank it over for five seconds or so and check to see if plugs are wet. If no it may be a sensor or failed fuel pump or fuel pump relay.

Please let me know what you find.

Engine cranks but wont start

Usually if no rpm signal, the vehicle won't start. Engine cranking, did you check for spark at the spark plugs? The fuel pressure you listed may have been the initial prime. It sounds like no injector pulse. The rpm signal comes from crank sensor. If your missing rpm signal, may thought is the crank sensor.
Were there any applicable trouble codes?
