That would be your mass airflow sensor, it usually makes a slight noise, nothing to worry about.

It is just a plastic pillar shaped sensor that runs in the direct center of the pipe.

As I said, nothing to worry about.

2003 ford taurus idling problems

Try fuel injection cleaner this will help with the idling. If that does not do the trick take off the air tubes going to the injectors and spray in some injection cleaner and watch some, looks like black dirt will start to come out of the injectors.

I have an 04 Ford Taurus... my car sometimes doesn't want to start. Before I put the key in the ignition there is a clicking noise coming from underneath the dash. As the car is clicking my needles are...

most likely the boxes are relays. have had the battery/ charging system checked lately. a weak or dead cell will cause the problems you are having.

What do i have to remove to get to the back 3 spark plugs on my taurus 24 v dohc engine?

maybe you can get to them from under the car. or you can reach back. Alot of cars give very little room and its a feel thing to get to them. If you still cant reach them then the intake will need to be removed.

Can't get to the spark plugs in a 2003 Ford Taurus

I am assuming you have the 3.0L Duratec engine. Although the job seems daunting, it's actually easy to remove the upper half of the intake manifold plenum. This took me about 40 minutes to remove the first time I did it, and leaves the rear three spark plugs wide open.

A good repair manual such as the Chilton's manual for the 1996-2005 Ford Taurus has the step-by-step. You should get a new set of intake plenum seals (from Ford or most auto parts stores, which may have to special order them) along with the spark plugs. The seals are a set oval rings made of silicone rubber. Yours may not need them but if you damage one getting the plenum off, or if they have shrunk with age, you'll be glad you got them. They're about $16 a set.

PCV valve location

if i know what you are asking, look at where you put your oil in. on the valve cover to the top right should be a plug with a tubeing runs to your air clear tube where the air mass sensor and carb is located. i think that is what you are looking for.
