2004 Honda CRV 6CD player

Jammed head unit. loaded first newly burned cd and that was it. cant load more and cant eject the only one in it.

I can hear it. It just sits there and clunks.

Any ideas?

Never had these problems before.

Same problem... 2004 CRV 6disc player jammed. Be thankful it's only one CD in yours.... Mine is loaded with 6 CDs checked out from the library (books on CD) and nothing will eject or play! They're due soon so I'll either have to cannibalize the player to get them out, or pay the 'lost book' rate to the library. Contacted a couple of repair facilities (one in FLA) and they each want about $275 just to look at it! I'm in the wrong business! JScott354@yaho.com.

I ejected one CD from the player and replaced it with a burnt CD and now I cannot eject or play. It has a very quick "Error" message that pops up.

Might not be your solution... but here's what I did...

Found a replacement CD player / radio unit in a junkyard for about $135. This unit didn't have the clock option... so I opened it up and swapped out just the cd changers, keeping the rest of my original radio / tape deck (with clock)... Works fine now... hope it lasts.

One thing I will do now, is to closely inspect any discs that go into this changer. Prefer to have NO paper labels attached (which is hard to do with library audio books).

Another solution would be to replace entire unit with some mid level, after market, single disc player / stereo which has an aux or iPod input. All my music is uploaded to my home PC anyway, might as well jump on the MP3 bandwagon!

Cheers!

I had a similar problem with one of my home made CDs in my 6 disc changer. When I got the error sign, I was able to see the edge of the disc sitting in the slot, but it wasn't ejecting.
One my first try, I tried to use two toothpicks (the flat type) sandwiched together to prevent marring the disc when pulling it out.
Didn't work, so I used long needle nosed pliers, wrapped some tissue around the ends and was able to grip and remove the disc.
I had a similar problem with home made CD's in my Ford Freestar/Windstar vans and was able to pluck them out the same way.
Good luck.

2005 Honda Crv 6 disc changer will not load discs. displays busy sucks in disc and flashes eject and spits it back out.

Are these burned music CD's or actual CD's you bought? Some players if they cant read the format or type of disc you put in it, they will display a read error and spit the disc back out. If this is the case you will need to change what format you are burning the audio files to disc.

How do you remove cd's from a six in dash changer...it will not play or eject the cd's

hi,
It sounds like the CD rack or cartridge inside the head unit has jammed. The only way of getting them out is to remove the 2 Din head unit from the dash/console,due to each CD being lifted up into the eject position and ejected separately.
If you got the tools you can dismantle and remove them from the head unit yourself. Hope this helps, let me know ow you get on.

CD Player Problum

you can try pulling the fuses for the cd then replace them. as the cd is cycling on start up, hold the load and eject buttons, and then hit the unit, in hopes to release the jam.

Cd player not working

If it were locked it would ask for a code on the radio display, more likely the radio's CD changer is defective, they are very prone to failure.
